ASPIRE e-pathshala

Autism Support Program for Individualized Rehabilitation & Education

 

Project Objective:

 

To create a structured, engaging, and therapeutic virtual learning environment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) that supports academic learning, communication, social-emotional development, and functional skills — all from the safety and familiarity of their homes.

 

Target Group:

 

  • Children with Autism aged 3 to 14 years.

  • Mild to moderate autism with basic attention and screen tolerance.

  • Children with co-occurring conditions like ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and Speech Delays.

 

 Key Goals:

 

  1. Academic Readiness: Focus on pre-academic and foundational academic skills.

  2. Communication Development: Improve expressive and receptive language skills.

  3. Behavioral Support: Provide structure and positive behavioral reinforcement.

  4. Parent Involvement: Train and engage parents to support therapy carry-over at home.

  5. Functional Independence: Build self-care and daily living skills through online modeling.

  6. Classroom Curriculum: From Nursery to 5th standard

 

Curriculum Structure:

 

The curriculum will follow a multisensory, visual, and structured approach combining academics, therapies, and functional learning.

 

  1. Core Academic Subjects

  • Pre-literacy and literacy skills (alphabets, phonics, sight words)

  • Numeracy (numbers, counting, basic math)

  • Environmental science and general knowledge

 

  1. Therapy Integrated Modules

  • Speech & Language Development (led by SLP)

  • Occupational Therapy (fine motor, sensory circuits)

  • ABA-based Skill Building

  • Social Communication and Emotional Regulation

  • ADLs (brushing, dressing, hygiene – modeled through videos)

 

  1. Supplementary Sessions

  • Music & Movement

  • Art and Creativity

  • Yoga & Mindfulness

  • Storytelling for social thinking

 

 

 Suggested Timetable (Sample: For a 3-hour day)

  • Program Coordinator (Special Educator / Autism Expert)

  • Speech & Language Pathologist

  • Occupational Therapist

  • ABA Therapist / Behavior Analyst

  • Special Educators (Trained in online instruction)

  • Parent Coach / Support Counselor

  • IT Support for LMS and troubleshooting

 

Technology & Platform:

  • LMS (Learning Management System) – Google Classroom / Moodle / Custom Platform

  • Live Sessions via Zoom / Google Meet

  • Recorded video vault for repeated learning

  • Weekly parent report via email/WhatsApp

  • Progress tracking through visual checklists and monthly reports

 

Documentation & Processes:

  • Enrolment Form with child profile and diagnostic reports

  • Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) with quarterly goals

  • Consent Form for online sessions and recordings

  • Feedback and observation notes from parents and therapists

  • Progress Report every quarter

 

 Fee Structure:

 

A sliding scale based on sessions per week and family affordability, possibly:

  • Basic Plan (3 days/week) – ₹4,500/month

  • Standard Plan (5 days/week) – ₹6,500/month

  • Full Plan (5 days/week + 1 therapy session/week) – ₹8,500/month
    Note: JKP Care Foundation can offer sponsorships for low-income families.

 

Promotion & Enrollment Plan:

  • Website section with details and inquiry form

  • Awareness webinars for parents and paediatricians

  • Collaboration with clinics and diagnostic centres

  • WhatsApp and Facebook promotional content

  • Free trial classes and orientation sessions

 

Monitoring & Evaluation:

  • Baseline assessment at the time of joining

  • Weekly staff review meetings

  • Monthly review with parents

  • Quarterly progress documentation

  • Year-end certification of participation/progress

 

Legal & Ethical Guidelines:

  • Confidentiality agreements

  • Parental consent for sessions and data storage

  • Secure storage of recordings and reports

  • Child Protection Policy & Staff Background Checks

 

Future Expansion Possibilities:

  • Regional language versions (Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, etc.)

  • Inclusion of teenage vocational modules

  • Add-on parent support groups

  • In-person hybrid sessions at local centers

  • Online Teacher Training Program for Inclusive Education
